Nature and the amazing beauty that surrounds us is what inspires me most. Little things like the glint of light on water or the long shadows at the end of the day often evoke such strong emotions feel compelled to capture these on canvas.
Nature and the amazing beauty that surrounds us is what inspires me most. Little things like the glint of light on water or the long shadows at the end of the day often evoke such strong emotions feel compelled to capture these on canvas.
To help tell the story of my paintings I attach collage materials such as sheet music, historic maps, poems, botanical diagrams and newspaper cuttings to create a sense of exploration. On closer inspection the viewer can discover a whole world of text and illustration lying beneath the ink and paint layers, exciting the senses and taking them on a voyage of discovery and limitless adventure.
